Shi xiong Ly passed to 2^nd degree Black Sash at Silk Dragon on Feb. 20^th, 2009. He was taught by

Sifu Tom Brocht and Sifu Shawn Smith.

He has been training for many years. Shi xiong Ly has competed in many tournaments and won many medals. He is a skilled fighter. He dedicates his teaching skills to the students of Silk Dragon.

Lao shi Chris Baker has received his Black Sash in 2005 after many years of hard training. He specializes in weaponry. He is a very dedicated instructor and has competed in a number of tournaments in Maryland and has won medals in competitions for the school. He devotes much of his teaching skills to the children who are enrolled in Silk Dragon's martial arts program. He has been taught by Sifu Tom Brocht, and Sifu Shawn Smith.

Mr. Alvin Salazar started training back in 2005 just to lose weight. Nobody thought that this overweight and unconditioned student would ever come back for training after a rough first day. Under the tutelage of Sifu Shawn Smith and Shi fu Tom Brocht, he is now 60 lbs lighter, feels healthier, stronger and faster. He is presently working towards his black sash and has won multiple medals from various competitions for the school.

Mr. Jamaar has been a student of

Shi fu Tom Brocht, and Sifu Shawn Smith since 1996. He took a brief leave of absence to get married and start a family. Now he has returned with a new outlook on life and a Fresh enthusiasm for Shaolin Kung Fu. While living In New York, Jamaar had the opportunity of training at the USA Shaolin Temple where he obtained a firm background in Shaolin basics, and Cha'n Buddhist Philosophy, Whose principles  he enjoys applying to his everyday life. Now, as a new Assistant instructor here at Silk Dragon, Mr. Jamaar looks forward to working with our new students, improving on their basic skills as well as his own.

Mike has been a Kung Fu student at Silk Dragon for a couple of years. He has trained extremely hard and is now in the pursuit of learning how to teach the martial arts. He is a dedicated student of Kung Fu and Tai Chi and is currently an assistant instructor in our Kung Fu classes. He enjoys training to the max. He loves to attend and participate in all types of competitions. Recently, he not only won medals at the ICMAC tournament, but helped them out by keeping score during the competition. forward to Mike training in Kung Fu and Tai Chi for many years.

Ms. Carol Linthicum has been a

Tai Chi student of Silk Dragon since 2005 and is one the school's finest Tai Chi Students. She has been taught by Sifu Shawn Smith and specializes in traditional Yang Style Tai Chi forms and Tai Chi Straight Sword form. She had won multiple medals in various tournaments and is working hard to be the best in her division.

Mr. Mark Gregory is presently working towards his Black Sash in Kung Fu. He specializes in Shaolin fighting techniques and devotes his time preparing students for fighting competitions.

He has been taught by Shi fu Tom Brocht and Sifu Shawn Smith.

Mr. Dan Brock has been a student of

Shi fu Tom Brocht and Sifu Shawn Smith since 2006. He is a very hard and serious trainer and considers kung fu as an art and sport. He's presently training for his black sash.

Mr. Vinny as he would prefer to be called, has been training under Shi fu Tom Brocht and Sifu Shawn Smith since 2004 and is now in charge of helping out his younger kung fu brothers on their road to becoming a black sash.
